Job summary

HireQuest Direct is seeking a motivated Staffing Coordinator in Birmingham, AL to join our team. This fast-paced role combines customer service, recruiting, scheduling, and daily staffing operations.

You will recruit, interview, onboard, and match candidates with job assignments, while coordinating daily schedules and interacting with clients to understand staffing needs. Ongoing communication and problem solving are essential to success.

Qualifications

• Previous staffing, recruiting, customer service, or office experience preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable speaking with candidates and clients by phone and in person.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Dependable, professional, and team-oriented.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to work Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview, and onboard qualified candidates
• Match employees with available job assignments
• Coordinate daily employee schedules and placements
• Communicate with employees regarding assignments, schedules, and attendance
• Work with clients to understand staffing needs
• Help resolve employee and client issues quickly and professionally
• Maintain accurate employee and staffing records
• Assist with daily branch operations
• Make recruiting calls and follow up with candidates
• Help ensure all positions are properly staffed each day
