Job summary

AdventHealth Shawnee Mission is seeking a Part Time Staffing Coordinator to ensure nursing department coverage across three campuses. You will coordinate daily staffing, prepare four-week schedules, and communicate staffing needs to managers while handling sensitive information with discretion.

The role demands calm under pressure, strong team collaboration, and excellent English communication. Prior computer and EMR familiarity is preferred; patient care knowledge is an asset.

Job Description

• Schedule: Part Time- 20 hours a week
• Shift: Days
• Week 1 - M,T 4am -10:00am, S/S - 4:00am - 8:00am
• Week 2- W/TH/F 4:00am - 10:30am
• Coordinates the activities to assure nursing department staffing needs are identified and accurately performs job role without the need for close supervision.
• Functions effectively in stressful situations, prioritizes efficiently, and recognizes emergency situations, responding appropriately.
• Assures daily staffing sheets are complete and accurate, reporting staffing concerns/issues/resignations to the appropriate manager or director.
• Coordinates daily communication of staffing needs with all three facilities, maintaining staffing to department matrix or nurse manager’s acuity direction.
• Assists with the development and maintenance of four-week staffing schedules as requested by the unit’s manager or director, and communicates to all three campuses daily.
