Job summary

Walter Reed Post Acute is seeking a Staffing Coordinator to ensure safe, high-quality resident care through well-planned staffing and consistent nursing coverage. This full-time, on-site role offers daily pay options and a compensation range of $23–$25 per hour (all inclusive).

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a Staffing Coordinator, Scheduler, or Payroll support within a nursing center or healthcare setting required.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage complex scheduling needs.
• Ability to ensure appropriate staffing levels while balancing multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the center maintains appropriate staffing levels and adequate nursing coverage at all times.
• Complete monthly nursing schedules, coordinating staff requests to ensure proper unit coverage.
• Prepare, complete, and post work schedules and staffing sheets in a timely and accurate manner.
• Coordinate staffing variances and schedule changes with the Director of Nursing Services (DNS).
• Maintain accurate staffing records and ensure schedules align with operational and regulatory needs.
• Build strong working relationships with staff to support collaboration and staffing stability.
• Communicate schedule updates, changes, and staffing needs clearly and professionally.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support facility operations.
