Job summary

Walter Reed Post Acute is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver skilled clinical care, monitor resident conditions, and ensure all care aligns with individualized care plans. This role supports residents in a 181-bed sub-acute and long-term care environment, with evening or night shifts and a shift differential.

We offer full-time and part-time opportunities, daily pay, and benefits. The RN will collaborate with the healthcare team to maintain high-quality standards and resident dignity.

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license in Virginia.
• Valid BLS CPR certification.
• Ability to manage multiple residents in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident care per physician plan and written care plans.
• Follow care plans developed by Nurse Manager.
• Administer medications and treatments per plan of care.
• Monitor residents and promptly report changes to the clinical team.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation per orders and policies.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality resident care.
• Ensure infection control and safety compliance.

Guided by our core values of Passion, Respect, and Excellence, the Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering skilled clinical care, monitoring resident conditions, and ensuring all care is provided in accordance with established standards and individualized care plans.

Responsibilities for Registered Nurse (RN):

• Provide resident care in accordance with acceptable standards of nursing practice and the physician’s plan of treatment, as well as the written plan of care.

• Follow and implement care plans developed by the Nurse Manager.

• Perform medication administration and treatments in accordance with the plan of care (POC).

• Monitor and assess residents’ conditions, promptly reporting changes to appropriate clinical team members.

• Maintain accurate, timely, and complete documentation in accordance with physician orders, facility policies, and regulatory standards.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated and high-quality resident care.

• Ensure compliance with infection control protocols, safety standards, and nursing regulations.

Qualifications for Registered Nurse (RN):

• A current, unencumbered active license to practice as an RN in the state of Virginia.

• Valid BLS Certification (CPR) required.

• Ability to manage care for multiple residents simultaneously in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills.
