SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES: The Staffing Coordinator is an integral part of the management team, a leader who works hand in hand with the DON in staffing appropriately, helping maintain direction and ease in scheduling and staffing. A Staffing Director/coordinator develops and maintains a good working rapport with interdepartmental employees, as well as other departments within the facility.

You will be a great Staffing Coordinator because you have:

  • Prior experience as a Staffing Coordinator/Director within a nursing center or healthcare setting - desired!
  • Ability to build strong relationships and gain support from staff
  • Superior organization skills and attention to detail
  • Must demonstrate a high level of flexibility and ability to handle stress, change, and unexpected occurrences
  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent

Itemized Duties & Responsibilities for Staffing Coordinator:

  • Maintain daily tardy and absenteeism calendars
  • Complete nursing schedule coordinating requests to ensure appropriate coverage of units
  • Consult with Nursing Department staff and supervisors concerning the staff/scheduling needs to reduce/eliminate problems
  • Assist employees with accurate completion and timeliness of Time Request Forms
  • Contact employees via telephone, email, text, etc. to ensure work sheets/time schedules are up to date
  • Answer employee calls regarding staffing/scheduling functions
