Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of Staffing Coordinator experience in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care setting.
• Strong knowledge of staffing regulations and scheduling practices in healthcare.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and time-management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality.
• Proficiency with scheduling systems, payroll processes, and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain monthly staffing schedules and daily nursing assignments to ensure appropriate coverage.
• Monitor and calculate nursing staffing hours to maintain regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with the Director of Nursing on recruitment, interviews, hiring, and disciplinary actions for CNAs, CMTs, and Nursing staff.
• Maintain accurate attendance, scheduling, and personnel records.
• Process Payroll Change Notices for hires, terminations, status changes, wage increases, and leaves of absence.
• Conduct reference checks and employment verifications for prospective candidates.
• Maintain an up-to-date contact database for all nursing personnel.
• Follow up with new hires to ensure onboarding requirements, credentials, and compliance documentation are completed.
• Assist with staffing reports and workforce planning initiatives.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing or Administrator.

In this critical role, you will support the Nursing Department by coordinating staffing schedules, maintaining compliance, and assisting with recruitment and onboarding efforts.
