The Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County seeks an administrative support professional for its Staffing Division. This role involves assisting with recruitment activities, maintaining applicant reports, and ensuring compliance with staffing processes. Strong communication and administrative skills are essential, as is the ability to manage various supportive tasks efficiently. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, with a preference for those holding an Associate's degree in Human Resources.
Provides administrative support to the Director of Staffing and Staffing Division. Assists the Staffing Representatives with job fairs, postings, interviews, testing, and new hire orientation. Responsible for various reports; creating and maintaining applicant new hire reports and related charts and graphs. Performs duties in a safe, efficient manner and in compliance with all applicable rules and safety procedures.
Responsibilities and Specific DutiesHigh school diploma or GED is required. Associates degree in Human Resources preferred
Years & Experience RequiredMinimum four (4) years’ experience in an administrative and support function. Work experience in Human Resources and/or a Staffing or similar environment is preferred. Software/system experience with SharePoint, SAP HCM, and Success Factors or other applicant tracking system preferred.
Knowledge & Skills RequiredExcellent communications skills (written and verbal). Strong administrative skills and excellent customer service skills. Experience with PC’s and Microsoft Office in Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook and keyboarding skills. General working knowledge of applicant tracking and HR Information System (HRIS).
