Job summary

Walter Reed Post Acute is seeking a Staffing Coordinator to ensure safe, high‑quality resident care through consistent, well‑planned staffing. The role supports nursing schedules, maintains staffing records, and coordinates staffing variances with the Director of Nursing Services to ensure proper unit coverage.

Qualifications

• Experience as Staffing Coordinator, Scheduler, or Payroll support in a nursing center or healthcare setting.
• Strong organizational skills to manage complex scheduling.
• Ability to balance multiple priorities while ensuring staffing levels.
• Experience coordinating nursing schedules and managing variances preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with staff.

Responsibilities

• Maintain appropriate staffing levels with adequate nursing coverage.
• Complete monthly nursing schedules coordinating staff requests to ensure proper unit coverage.
• Prepare, complete, and post work schedules and staffing sheets in a timely and accurate manner.
• Coordinate staffing variances and schedule changes with the Director of Nursing Services (DNS).
• Maintain accurate staffing records and ensure schedules align with operational and regulatory needs.
• Build strong working relationships with staff to support collaboration and staffing stability.
• Communicate schedule updates, changes, and staffing needs clearly and professionally.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support facility operations.
