Staffing Consultant - Agency Recruiter (SC-HOU-OKK) Houston, Texas

STAFFING CONSULTANT

FINDING PEOPLE FOR JOBS, AND JOBS FOR PEOPLE.

As a Staffing Consultant, you will find, interview, and qualify job seekers for temporary/contract roles with companies and organizations in your local market. This is a full-cycle recruiting role. From sourcing to placement, you will run the entire recruiting process. You will spend your time engaging in conversations with job seekers, whether over the phone, via email, or in person. You will build strong relationships with job seekers by coaching them throughout every step of the job search process – from resume editing tips & tricks, to interview pointers, all the way through post-interview breakdown and accepting a new position. In the time not spent finding the next great candidate for the job, you will meet with your team to discuss open positions, post advertisements, and learn to utilize online sourcing tools and resources.

To be successful, you must be resourceful, proactive, and a strong judge of character. You will determine the right job fit based on candidates' capabilities and business needs. Beacon Hill relies on your ability not just to find good candidates, but to select and match them with appropriate companies, jobs, and environments. You must look beyond resumes to read people effectively.

This role is relationship-focused sales; the more effort you put in, the greater your results. Each day, you will hold yourself accountable to your goals and build your book of business.

YOUR DAY:

  1. Identify prospective candidates through job boards, LinkedIn, internet searches, referrals, and networking.
  2. Proactively cold call to identify candidates; persistence is key to success.
  3. Interview prospective candidates.
  4. Prepare candidates for client interviews—review resumes, discuss client needs, conduct mock interviews.
  5. Extend job offers and manage the offer process.
  6. Follow up with candidates on assignment to ensure they have what they need.
