Job summary

Harvey is seeking a Staff Web Designer to join the Web team and elevate the design experience across harvey.ai and related surfaces. You will own the website design system, lead user research and testing, and set the quality bar for every page that ships, partnering with engineers, motion designers, product marketing, and brand stakeholders.

You will mentor junior designers, drive accessibility and responsive design, and push the boundaries of a best-in-class legal AI website.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional design experience focused on web and digital products.
• Portfolio demonstrates mastery of UX, interaction design, responsive design, and design-system architecture.
• Systems thinking—building and governing scalable design systems for multiple teams.
• Proficient with modern tools (Figma) and capable of pixel-level specs and hand-offs.
• Experience leveraging AI-assisted design workflows to improve quality and velocity.
• Strong communication and presentation skills with experience leading reviews.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the website design system with scalable patterns and governance.
• Lead end-to-end design for web projects from concept to hand-off to engineers and designers.
• Drive innovation through prototyping, testing, and accessibility improvements across harvey.ai.
• Mentor junior designers to raise the team's quality bar in responsive design and design systems.
• Run design demos and present work to marketing leadership and stakeholders.
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate design workflows and explore new interaction paradigms.
