Harvey is seeking a Staff Web Engineer to lead the architecture behind harvey.ai and the web-facing surface. You will own Next.js, Sanity, and the integration layer to marketing, analytics, and GTM.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Web Engineering experience with architecture ownership.
• Strong command of React/Next.js, TypeScript, and SSR with backend depth.
• Experience with headless CMS (Sanity, Contentful) at scale.
• Proven production systems: CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, observability, performance against user metrics.
• Fluency in SQL/NoSQL, caching, queuing, APIs and webhooks for marketing/GTM.
• Experience integrating AI/ML into production web experiences.
• Ability to mentor engineers and operate autonomously in a small team.

Responsabilités

• Own the architecture of Harvey's web platform end to end - the Next.js/Vercel application, the Sanity content layer, and the services and APIs behind them - with a focus on reliability, performance, and scalability.
• Design data foundations and integration patterns connecting to marketing, analytics, CRM, and GTM systems, supporting real-time and batch workloads.
• Establish automation, CI/CD, preview/deploy tooling, and robust automated testing where little exists today.
• Set observability standards - structured logging, tracing, Core Web Vitals and performance budgets, alerting.
• Lead how the team applies AI/ML to web workflows, from content operations to personalization to internal tooling.
• Partner with Security and Infrastructure to harden the platform without slowing developer experience.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship through code review, design review, and architectural guidance.
