Job summary

Gatik is seeking a Staff V&V Systems Lead to architect and govern the comprehensive V&V framework across SIL, HIL, Track, and Public Road pillars. You will own the VTM, drive driverless release sign-off decisions, and synthesize empirical testing data to continuously support safety cases.

This onsite role at the Santa Clara, CA office requires deep expertise in ISO 26262, UL 4600, and related standards, with an emphasis on end-to-end traceability and regulatory readiness.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a relevant technical field.
• 8+ years leading verification and validation programs for safety-critical autonomous systems.
• Experience with safety standards (ISO 26262, UL 4600, ISO 21448) and V-model lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Architect and govern multi-pillar V&V strategy across SIL, HIL, Track and Public Road.
• Own the Verification Traceability Matrix linking safety requirements to tests and results.
• Lead driverless release gate sign-offs for software and fleet updates.
• Coordinate across Simulation, HIL, Track, and Field Deployment teams to cover edge cases.
• Prepare audit-ready V&V evidence and safety-case support for regulators and customers.
