Job summary

Rivian is seeking a Staff Technical Program Manager, Validation Software, to lead the integration layer for LabCar and related assets across multiple Pre-DV programs. You will own the end-to-end governance of asset translation, drive cross-functional alignment, and ensure timely delivery of validated hardware content across programs.

You will champion a scalable governance model, build dashboards, and partner with Validation, DRE/Device Teams, NPI/Supply, RVT, and Special Projects to gate

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• Typically 5–8+ years of experience in automotive or complex electro-mechanical products, including significant experience in technical program management, systems engineering, or validation/test asset planning.
• Working knowledge of BOM/MPL structures and transmittal processes.

Responsibilities

• Own the BOM/MPL device asset translation workstream aligning validation intent, software maturity, and asset content.
• Ensure consistency across multiple Pre-DV programs running in parallel.
• Manage pre-DV asset R&R model day-to-day and governance handshakes between teams.
• Track surrogate or released part readiness and data traces for end devices.
• Host cross-functional reviews to negotiate production intent, sourcing, and timing gaps.
• Maintain visibility into asset readiness against program milestones and elevate risks.
• Support fit-for-use decisions ensuring LabCar functionality and build viability.
• Build dashboards/metrics for asset governance and provide data-backed updates to senior leaders.
• Scale the governance model with templates, workflows, and RACI as headcount grows.
