Job summary

Rivian is seeking a Staff Technical Program Manager, Validation Software, to lead the integration layer across R1, R2 and EDV Pre-DV programs. You will own the BOM/MPL-to-device translation and drive the fit-for-use decisions that gate DVB, coordinating Validation, DRE/Device Teams, NPI, RVT and Special Projects.

This hands-on governance role emphasizes building scalable processes, dashboards, and cross‑functional reviews, with a strong emphasis on delivering consistent execution in parallel

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• 5–8+ years in automotive or complex electromechanical products with PM, systems engineering, or validation/test asset planning.
• Knowledge of BOM/MPL structures and surrogate vs production parts.
• Experience coordinating across engineering, program, NPI/supply chain, and build/test teams under time pressure.
• Ability to operate in an evolving governance model and drive clarity on R&R.

Responsibilities

• Own BOM/MPL → device → asset translation workstream with DREs and Device Teams.
• Ensure consistency across parallel Pre-DV programs (R1, R2, EDV) within the governance model.
• Run the pre‑DV asset R&R model day-to-day and manage cross-functional handshakes.
• Track DRE responsibilities including surrogate or released part readiness.
• Facilitate pre‑DV cross‑functional reviews to address production‑intent gaps.
• Maintain visibility into asset and device readiness against milestones.
• Support fit‑for‑use decisions ensuring LabCar functions and the physical build work.
• Build dashboards and metrics for asset governance and report to senior stakeholders.
• Help scale governance model with templates and RACI as headcount grows.
