Job summary

Form Energy is seeking a Senior Reliability Engineer to advance the reliability and lifetime of our iron-air packs and deployed systems. You will lead reliability test development for the Battery Management System hardware and guide DFMEA across electro-mechanical subsystems.

Based in Berkeley, CA, you will translate product goals into rigorous reliability requirements, design complex experiments, and champion safety while coordinating with cross-functional teams including remote members.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of industry experience in reliability engineering or related field.
• Experience developing tests to evaluate electrical/electromechanical systems.
• Experience testing PCBs and electronic components.
• Experience with accelerated lifetime testing across operating conditions.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead Design for Reliability (DfR) for critical electro-mechanical subsystems.
• Translate product goals into reliability requirements and lifetimes.
• Design and lead complex experiments to uncover failure mechanisms and establish methods to accelerate failures in tests.
• Be a champion for safety.
