Job summary

Form Energy is seeking a Staff Test Engineer to lead multi‑pack test assets and validation efforts in the Systems Test organization. You will own test planning, execution, data integrity, and reporting, partnering with hardware, software, and controls teams to drive validation strategies.

The role requires 8+ years in systems test, strong leadership, and hands‑on proficiency with Python, LabVIEW, and MATLAB/Simulink.

Qualifications

8+ years in systems test engineering or hardware validation.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, Mechatronics, or related field.
Deep familiarity with BMS, high/low voltage wiring, sensors, and electro‑mechanical actuators.
Experience with high‑power industrial systems and thermal management.
Proficiency with Python, LabVIEW, MATLAB/Simulink and data analysis pipelines.

Responsibilities

Take end‑to‑end accountability for major multi‑pack test assets and their lifecycle.
Architect comprehensive test plans and procedures for integrated hardware/software behaviors.
Bridge design, test engineering, and product management to translate requirements.
Partner with Site Operations to manage infrastructure, power, safety, and uptime.
Lead day‑to‑day test campaigns; perform RCA and cross‑functional triage.
Synthesize test data into clear engineering reports and leadership dashboards.
Coach and develop junior engineers and technicians in the lab.
Champion safety, 5S, and rigorous documentation in the testing lab.
