Job summary

Wabtec is seeking a Staff Test Engineer in the Cedar Rapids area to assist IST Engineering with integration test procedures and lifecycle improvements.

You will work across systems, developing test strategies, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and advancing automation for customer solutions. Domestic and international travel up to 10% may be required, with relocation assistance available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical field.
• 7-10 years of software testing, verification and validation experience.
• Experience with test automation technologies and scripting languages.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP networks and packet analysis (preferred).
• Experience with databases and requirements management tools.

Responsibilities

• Ensure testing hardware and software meet system requirements and interface specs.
• Develop IST plans, procedures, and automation tools for customer solutions.
• Maintain IST test procedures and regression results.
• Conduct peer reviews to ensure quality and consistency.
• Contribute to IST scope estimation for projects.
