General Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and motivated RF Test Engineer to join our dynamic team. The role involves pre-silicon and post-silicon validation of Qualcomm IPs to ensure production quality. It requires a strong understanding of RF technology, hardware and software integration, and excellent analytical, debugging, optimization, and problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate will be self-driven, able to coordinate cross-functional teams, resolve complex issues independently, and be adaptable in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to capturing requirements essential for developing hardware and software to implement complex test plans.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop comprehensive test plans, identify hardware and software test resources, and produce implementation strategies.
  • Conduct rigorous ATE and bench-level radio testing and optimization, analyze results, document and report defects, performance issues, or anomalies.
  • Lead and drive cross-functional teams to develop and implement test plans. Proactively collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and successful delivery of commitments.
  • Independently identify, analyze, and resolve complex issues related to radio testing and validation. Debug hardware, including defect investigation.
  • Utilize standard lab equipment such as power supplies, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and semiconductor Automatic Test Equipment (UltraFlex ATE).
  • Develop and implement automated test solutions focused on minimum test costs using semiconductor automatic test equipment (UltraFlex ATE).
  • Deliver high-quality hardware and software documentation in line with the department’s processes. Conduct peer reviews for test programs, data analysis scripts, and hardware.
  • Participate in pre-silicon emulation-based design verification and post-silicon bring-up, validation, test development, and debugging.
  • Execute tests and manipulate data to confirm the validity of results using data analysis and statistics. Collate, summarize, and present data for technical and program-level reviews.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 3+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Science, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in Python, C, and Visual Basic.
  • Strong knowledge of analog and digital semiconductor circuits.
  • Knowledge of Bluetooth and WiFi radio architectures and standards.
  • Competent at using standard lab equipment - oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, etc.
  • Strong ability to draw inferences and key points from datasets using analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to coordinate and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong understanding of hardware and software integration.
  • Familiarity with RF test equipment and test methodologies.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working in a test lab and with automatic test equipment (ATE).
  • Experience with RTL verification, UVM/OVM, SV assertions.
  • Familiarity with software revision control tools (Perforce, DesignSync, Clearcase, Clearquest)
