Job summary

SkyWater Semiconductors is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Technician focused on Fab Polish maintenance. The role involves dismantling, repairing, and assembling equipment, using diagnostics to identify root causes, and applying corrective actions in a high-precision fab environment.

Responsibilities include preventive and unscheduled maintenance, documentation for quality standards, and collaboration with cross-functional teams (5S+, CIP).

Qualifications

• 2-year technical/associate’s degree in science, math, engineering, semiconductor manufacturing or related discipline or equivalent military training/work experience.
• 5-7 years of experience in an Equipment Maintenance role within the Semiconductor industry.
• Demonstrated expertise in electro/mechanical/fluids troubleshooting, repair, preventive maintenance, and equipment modification.
• Analytical troubleshooting methods (Root Cause Analysis, 8D, 5-Why) and First Time Right repair skills.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures with high attention to detail and timeliness.
• Ability to define, initiate, manage, and execute projects to improve tool function and metrics.

Responsibilities

• Dismantle, adjust, repair and assemble equipment according to layouts and manuals.
• Use test/diagnostic equipment to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Perform preventive and unscheduled maintenance on production equipment.
• Complete and maintain required quality documentation.
• Rebuild equipment and sub-assemblies when needed; modify equipment as directed by engineers.
• Participate in maintenance or cross-functional teams (5S+ and CIP).
• Take ownership of small projects and coordinate with outside vendors as required.

SkyWater is hiring an Equipment Maintenance Technician who specializes in Fab Polish Maintenance.**Tool Area: Polish**Hours:B Shift:Sunday, Monday, Tuesday in week one, and Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Saturdayin week two, from 6:55pm - 7:10am.This role offers a 15% differential.ORC Shift:Thursday through Saturday in week one, and Wednesday through Saturdayin week two, from 6:55am - 7:10pm.Major Areas of Accountability:Dismantle, adjust, repair and assemble equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating and repair manuals.Use test and diagnostic equipment to identify root cause problems and put corrective actions in place.Perform preventive and unscheduled maintenance duties on production equipment.Complete and maintain required documentation for quality standards.Rebuild equipment and sub-assemblies as required.Perform equipment modifications as directed by engineers.Participate in Maintenance or cross-functional teams such as 5S+ and CIP.Take ownership of small projects and equipment assembly tasksWork with outside vendors as required.Process chemical and gas handlingMaintains critical spares and consumables inventory.Required Qualifications:Education: 2 Year Technical/associate’s degree in science, Math, Engineering, Semi-Conductor Manufacturing or a related discipline or equivalent military training / work experience.Experience:5-7 years of experience in an Equipment Maintenance role within the Semiconductor industryDemonstrated expertise in performing electro\\mechanical\\fluidic circuit troubleshooting, repair, preventative maintenance, and equipment modification.Capable of demonstrating analytical troubleshooting methods (Root Cause Analysis, 8D Problem Solving, and 5-why), and First Time Right repair skillsAble to follow detailed instructions and procedures to complete tasks and required documentation; demonstrate solid work performance in an environment requiring high level of attention to detail and timeliness.Ability to define, initiate, manage, and execute projects to improve tool function and metrics.
