Job summary

SkyWater Technology, Inc. is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Technician specializing in Fab Polish Maintenance to support the Polish tool area. You will engage in dismantling, repairing, and assembling equipment with strong diagnostic and root-cause skills.

The role requires 5–7 years in semiconductor equipment maintenance, electro-mechanical troubleshooting, and the ability to work cross-functionally on maintenance projects. 12-hour shifts apply.

Qualifications

• 2 Year Technical/associate’s degree in science, Math, Engineering, Semi-Conductor Manufacturing or related discipline.
• 5-7 years of experience in an Equipment Maintenance role within the Semiconductor industry.
• Expertise in electro/mechanical/fluidic circuit troubleshooting, repair, preventive maintenance, and equipment modification.
• Analytical troubleshooting methods (Root Cause Analysis, 8D, 5-why) and First Time Right repair skills.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and document work; strong attention to detail and timeliness.
• Ability to define, initiate, manage, and execute maintenance projects in cross-functional teams.
• Proficient with hand tools including wrenches, calipers, meters, oscilloscopes, and related tooling.

Responsibilities

• Dismantle, adjust, repair and assemble equipment per layout plans and manuals.
• Use test and diagnostic equipment to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Perform preventive and unscheduled maintenance on production equipment.
• Complete and maintain required documentation for quality standards.
• Rebuild equipment and sub-assemblies as needed.
• Perform equipment modifications as directed by engineers.
• Participate in maintenance and cross-functional teams such as 5S+ and CIP.
• Take ownership of small projects and equipment assembly tasks.
• Coordinate with outside vendors as required.
• Handle chemicals and gases; maintain critical spares and consumables inventory.
