Job summary

Walmart Inc. is seeking a Staff, Technical Program Manager – Data & AI Governance to lead vendor and platform management across Walmart's AI ecosystem.

You will drive data requirements into release cycles for third-party generative AI platforms and internally built AI platforms in a global context. You will own business unit relationships across the organization and international markets, manage data classification, access review, and governance for restricted data, and build scalable onboarding

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or related area.
• 7 years’ experience in engineering, engineering program management, technical program management, product management, or related area.

Responsibilities

• Drive data requirements into release cycles for third-party enterprise generative AI platforms and internally built AI platforms.
• Own business unit relationships across the organization and international markets to align on data needs and priorities.
• Lead intake, prioritization, and governance execution for restricted data, including classification, layer placement, and access review.
• Land agent and prompt data across all platforms to support enterprise AI ROI reporting.
• Build a repeatable onboarding motion for new business units that run without Director-level involvement.
• Resolve data ownership gaps across business units, including Finance, to ensure clean, sustained data landing.
