Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems in San Diego, CA seeks a Requirements and Verification Staff Systems Engineer to join our Systems Engineering team. The role collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure products meet specifications and customer requirements in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include creating verification plans and reports, leading technical reviews, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of science in a STEM field with 12 years of relevant military/professional experience, OR Master’s with 10 years, OR PhD with 8 years.
• Active US Government Top Secret clearance (with background investigation within last 6 years or Continuous Evaluation)
• Ability to obtain/maintain SAP clearance in a timely manner
• Experience in systems engineering lifecycle: requirements decomposition, test planning, verification and management
• Experience with requirements and verification management in DOORS
• Experience with requirements decomposition and traceability from System to Unit/Supplier specifications
• Experience leading a technical team

Responsibilities

• Author Requirement Verification Plans and System Test & Verification Plans for each IFC
• Lead technical reviews and secure cross-functional approval for verification methods within the RVP
• Review Verification Data Products from System Test to confirm they meet intent/scope
• Create Requirement Verification Reports and System Test & Verification Reports to close IFC activities
• Coordinate internal/cross-IPT reviews of RVRs and manage customer feedback/approval processes
• Collaborate with SMEs/Responsible Engineers to gather analysis/data for verification methods
• Develop test procedures with System Test, ensuring correct interpretation of requirements
• Participate in peer reviews to maintain product quality
• Define features, use cases, and acceptance criteria for system definitions/DRs
• Coordinate readiness with engineers and test teams to ensure maturity for testing
