Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Staff System Engineer to lead systems engineering efforts across design, development, integration, and verification for critical space capabilities. You will drive requirements decomposition, architecture definitization, and interfaces among subsystems.

The role requires 5+ years of experience, a current Top Secret clearance, and a strong background in space mission systems with a focus on program management practices and risk-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• Experience in systems engineering across the lifecycle.
• Experience supporting trade studies (definition and execution) and requirements development/management.
• Working knowledge or experience with systems integration, design, and test activities.
• Experience working either Satellite or Ground Segment programs.
• Active Top Secret clearance, US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Support IRAD and proposal efforts for the SEIT team, including system design, analysis, test, and integration activities.
• Organize and support major program reviews for subsystems, including SRR, PDR, CDR, TIM.
• Ensure completeness of converting mission requirements into system solution.
• Definitize the system architecture and subsequent design.
• Develop/define interfaces between critical elements.
• Perform analysis to convert requirements into architecture and design.
