The role focuses on leading radiation hardening, developing design criteria, and coordinating across engineering and manufacturing domains to ensure weapon system survivability under various nuclear threat environments.

Qualified candidates have a STEM degree with extensive engineering experience and an active DoD clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master/PhD in STEM with extensive engineering experience per degree.
• Active DoD Secret clearance with ability to obtain interim Top Secret.
• Ability to travel up to 20% as required.
• Experience with nuclear survivability, radiation environments, and weapon system design.

Responsibilities

• Lead Ionizing Radiation hardening efforts across development and deployment phases.
• Develop DARs and system test plans documenting compliance and certification.
• Prepare Nuclear Survivability artifacts for requirements compliance.
• Evaluate components and models for nuclear threat environment performance.
