Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems – Research & Advanced Design seeks a Staff Systems Engineer for Digital Ecosystems at our Melbourne, FL campus. The role will shape system architectures, define capabilities, and ensure performance against customer specifications, working within an interdisciplinary team.

Essential functions include MBSE-based architecture, CONOPS, and detailed analysis to translate customer requirements into hardware and software interfaces, with flexible work arrangements

Qualifications

Bachelor/Master/PhD in STEM with 8–12 years (depending on degree) of related experience.
Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. government Secret clearance (in-scope or Continuous Evaluation).
Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering and aerospace systems development.

Responsibilities

Assist in development of system architectures.
Architecture, CONOPS, and use case development using MBSE methodologies.
Perform functional analysis, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies.
Perform system requirements analysis.
Develop automation workflows for multi-disciplinary processes.
