Job Overview

As a system architect in our Data & Devices Business Unit, you will focus on the compute, storage, artificial intelligence, and networking industry. You will interface with customers to understand their systems and determine their evolving technology needs. Your responsibilities include generating high-level system architecture requirements and ensuring alignment with customer needs and TE’s product roadmaps. You will also participate in industry communication standards.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Hardware Systems Architect to join our diverse and growing team. You will advance digital engineering and model-based systems engineering capabilities within the Data & Devices Business unit, providing leadership in program development and implementation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interface with key OEM and other customers
  • Identify potential technology disruptors
  • Integrate customer needs and industry knowledge to influence technology and product trends
  • Proactively invest in new technology and products to meet future market needs
  • Collaborate within a geographically dispersed team to share expertise
  • Build industry subject matter expertise and collaborate with external customers and internal teams
  • Manage technical cooperation with customers and coordinate with internal development teams
  • Follow and help drive industry standards and strategy

Required Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or Associate's degree with relevant experience; a dual bachelor’s in business or an MBA is a plus
  • 8+ years experience in computer and/or networking industry system design
  • Knowledge of hardware and signaling environments, high-speed engineering and design expertise
  • Familiarity with computer, networking, AI/ML, and storage architectures is beneficial
  • Self-motivated with limited supervision, able to take initiative
  • Excellent communication skills for diverse audiences
  • Ability to build relationships internally and externally
  • Willingness to travel 25-30%

Compensation

  • Base salary: $127,920 – $191,880, depending on location and experience
  • Additional incentives and benefits included
