Confluent Medical Technologies is hiring a Staff Surface Process Development Engineer to advance surface engineering for Nitinol medical devices. You will lead through-process development, optimization, and transfer to manufacturing, using DOE and statistical analysis to drive decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Materials, Biomedical or Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Experience with surface processing methods is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of the Process Development Team to develop, optimize, and transfer processes to manufacturing.
• Develop and optimize surface processes including microblasting, chemical etching, chemical polishing, electropolishing, cleaning and surface quality standards.
• Use statistics and Design of Experiments (DOE) to characterize processes and support data-driven decisions.
• Perform root cause investigations and drive corrective actions.
• Analyze process and product data to identify trends, risks and improvements.
