Volunteers of America, Utah is seeking a Staff Coordinator to assist the Associate Director in staffing the Geraldine E. King Women’s Resource Center for 24-hour coverage. You’ll onboard and train staff, supervise Housing Advocates, and help manage center activities with compliance to licensing standards.

The role emphasizes trauma-informed practices, client safety, and collaborative work with VOA program partners. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 2 years in social services or related training.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Familiarity with Trauma Informed Care and Housing First approaches.
• Excellent customer service with professional empathy.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and reporting techniques.
• Willingness to undergo background screening and pre-employment checks.

Responsibilities

• Participates in hiring, training, performance evaluations, and disciplinary processes.
• Provides supervision, guidance, and support to Housing Advocates.
• Supports on-boarding and ongoing staff training for trauma-informed care.
• Manages daily shift change meetings and related responsibilities.
• Maintains documentation and compliance with licensing and contract standards.
