Job summary

CoreWeave is seeking a Staff Engineer, Storage to design and operate the file and block storage behind our AI storage platform. You’ll craft scalable, multi-tenant control planes and contribute to exabyte-scale storage systems powering large AI workloads.

You will work with RDMA, SPDK, and S3/NFS storage, ensuring reliability, latency, and observability while mentoring peers across infrastructure teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in storage systems engineering or infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience with object storage or distributed filesystems in production.
• Experience with storage protocols (S3, NFS) and file systems like Ceph or DAOS.
• Proficiency in Go, C++, or Rust.
• Familiarity with telemetry pipelines and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ClickHouse).
• Knowledge of cloud-native infrastructure, Kubernetes, and scalable architecture.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design a scalable, multi-tenant storage control plane.
• Develop exabyte-scale object storage and distributed file systems.
• Optimize performance using RDMA, GPU Direct Storage, SPDK, and related tech.
• Improve reliability, durability, and observability of storage stacks.
• Monitor and analyze storage systems with telemetry and dashboards.
• Collaborate with platform, product, and infra teams; mentor engineers.
