Job summary

CoreWeave’s Storage team builds the file and block storage powering AI workloads. As a Senior Software Engineer you will implement features across the NFS data path, durable block volumes, and the Go-based control plane, all exposed through Kubernetes.

You will work with senior engineers to deliver well-scoped components, focusing on reliability, performance, and observability in a multi-tenant environment. The team emphasizes collaboration and deep technical expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• 4-6 years building distributed systems, storage systems or infrastructure services.
• Production experience with storage, databases or file systems: builder of the system, not just a user.
• Go preferred; Rust or C++ a plus.
• Working knowledge of Kubernetes and cloud-native infrastructure.
• Understanding of distributed systems fundamentals: consistency, replication, failure handling.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Clear communicator, able to work collaboratively across teams.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve Go-based control plane services: provisioning, tenancy, quota, snapshots, lifecycle for file and block storage.
• Contribute to the file system data path: NFS reliability, IO performance, small-file workloads for AI pipelines.
• Deliver file and block as first-class Kubernetes citizens: CSI driver features like dynamic provisioning, resize and snapshots.
• Improve reliability, durability, and observability with telemetry, metrics, dashboards.
• Debug production issues in distributed, high-performance systems and implement lasting fixes.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with compute, platform and infrastructure teams.
