Job summary

Samsung Semiconductor in San Jose seeks a Staff Storage Business Enabling Engineer to drive SSD business growth within NeoCloud and AI infrastructure, bridging customer workloads to strategic product opportunities.

You will lead design‑in activities, translate requirements into architecture proposals, and collaborate across R&D, Product Marketing, and Sales to expand AI storage solutions, leveraging strong cross‑functional leadership and deep SSD expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical, Computer Engineering, CS, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in SSD, NAND, storage systems, or semiconductor tech.
• Strong NVMe/PCIe and data center storage knowledge.
• Experience with hyperscalers, NeoCloud, OEMs/ODMs, or storage vendors.
• Ability to explain complex tech to engineers, architects, and execs.
• Proven track record in PoCs, evaluations, and design-in activities.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication.
• Demonstrated strategic thinking with data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with NeoCloud, storage software, and AI customers to understand workloads.
• Translate customer needs into SSD product opportunities and architecture proposals.
• Analyze architectures including NVMe, distributed storage, and tiering.
• Define SSD requirements: capacity, performance, endurance, latency, power, form factor.
• Lead technical discussions, PoCs, evaluations, and design-in activities.
• Coordinate with R&D, Product Marketing, Sales, and Application Engineering.
• Develop proposals, architecture analyses, benchmarking plans, and business cases.
• Monitor AI infra and storage trends to identify opportunities.
• Create competitive intelligence and actionable business strategies.
• Support executive-level engagements with technical insights.
