Pantheon Systems, Inc is hiring a Staff Software Engineer with a strong SRE orientation to elevate the reliability of our internal platform. You will establish SRE as a discipline, develop observability standards, and build self-service infrastructure patterns used by 15+ engineering teams.

The role focuses on Service Foundation, SLO/SLI frameworks, and security/compliance across SOC 2 and PCI DSS, with a remote-friendly, global team. Collaboration and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years building and operating production systems, with focus on infrastructure, SRE, or platform engineering.
• Hands-on Go (Go 1.21+) and Python are valued.
• Deep experience with GCP services (Cloud Run, GKE, Cloud SQL) and managed services.

Responsibilities

• Establish SRE as a discipline across PIE and Internal Platform Group.
• Define and drive adoption of SLO/SLI frameworks and incident practices.
• Design and deliver service templates, Terraform modules, and infra patterns.
• Migrate to GCP-native managed services and standardize CI/CD (GitHub Actions, Cloud Build).
• Mentor engineers and participate in on-call rotations.
