Job summary

Veeam is building a global Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) function to support the Veeam Data Cloud. As a Staff SRE, you will lead by building reliable-by-default platforms, tooling, and patterns used by product teams at scale.

You will mentor senior engineers, define architectural best practices, and drive cross-team adoption of reliability standards across the platform, with a focus on Azure initially and multi-region operability.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software engineering for cloud-based products.
• Strong experience designing and operating distributed systems.
• Proven leadership and mentoring of engineers.

Responsibilities

• Write production-grade services in Go, Java, or C# and ensure reliability.
• Lead cross-team reliability initiatives and architectural reviews.
• Define SRE practices, SLOs, error budgets, and incident response.
• Participate in on-call rotations and drive blameless postmortems.
