Job summary

MEMORIAL is seeking a Staff Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat residents, provide family and physician communications, and maintain comprehensive documentation in the medical records.

The role includes supervising CFY Speech-Language Pathology trainees, training facility staff, and ensuring a safe, compliant care environment. Masters or Doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology is preferred, with active state licensure and CPR as applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology; Masters/Doctorate preferred.
• Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in the state; CPR certification may be required.
• Proficient with clinical documentation in Net Health and PointClickCare.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents to determine speech therapy needs and rehabilitation potential.
• Develop and update individualized treatment plans to improve communication and swallowing.
• Supervise CFY Speech-Language Pathology trainees and students as applicable.
• Communicate progress with physicians, nursing staff, residents and families.
• Complete timely, accurate documentation in compliance with laws and payer requirements.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on treatment goals and home programs.
• Maintain a safe treatment environment following infection control procedures.
