Job summary
The Aerospace Corporation in Chantilly, VA is seeking a Member of Technical Staff to lead software development and process engineering across DoD and IC acquisitions. Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a closely related STEM discipline.
- Minimum of two years of professional software development experience.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
- Willingness to travel up to 10% domestically/internationally.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development and delivery of Aerospace internal software projects using modern development practices.
- Provide expert software process guidance and technical consultation for internal initiatives.
- Review project plans, progress reports, and deliverables for software projects.
- Tailor and optimize software process standards for software acquisition programs.
- Develop and refine software process maturity assessment instruments and evaluation frameworks.
- Assess contractor deliverables for software products and processes.
- Review software acquisition documentation including development plans and QA reports.
- Define software measurements, metrics, and KPIs aligned with program objectives.
