Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies is hiring a Staff Software Engineer for a 100% remote role in the United States. The successful candidate will help design and build scalable cloud-based services, mentor engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams on complex initiatives.

You should bring 8+ years of software engineering experience, deep expertise in distributed systems or big data, and strong system design skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
Eight or more years of professional software engineering experience.
Proven track record of leading complex, cross-team engineering initiatives.
Deep expertise in at least one of distributed systems, cloud platforms, or large-scale data systems.
Strong programming skills in at least one major backend language.
Excellent system-design and architecture skills.
Demonstrated mentorship and technical leadership of senior engineers.
Strong understanding of operational excellence, reliability, and observability.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Track record of influencing engineering culture and standards.
