Lyric is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to drive the design and implementation of mission-critical systems across our platform. As a high-level individual contributor, you will lead architectural decisions, influence engineering standards, and remain hands-on building scalable software.

You will collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver high-quality solutions, mentor junior engineers, and help grow our platform in a fast-paced environment. Remote - US.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience designing and shipping large-scale systems.
• Proficiency in Java, Go, Python, or TypeScript.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems, APIs, SQL/NoSQL, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Experience with CI/CD, Kubernetes, and observability practices.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement core services and APIs with a focus on scalability and security.
• Lead technical design and code reviews across multiple projects.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and contribute to RFCs.
• Resolve production issues to ensure reliability and uptime.
• Promote engineering best practices across teams.
