Job summary

Lyric is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to drive the design and implementation of mission-critical systems across our platform. As a hands-on leader, you will influence architectural decisions, set engineering standards, and mentor engineers while building scalable software.

You will collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver high‑quality solutions, lead reviews, and promote best practices across teams to ensure reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum eight (8) years of software engineering experience.
• Deep proficiency in one or more backend or full stack languages (Java, Go, Python, TypeScript).
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems, APIs, databases, and cloud infra (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Experience with CI/CD, container orchestration (Kubernetes), and observability practices.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement core services, systems, and APIs with a focus on scalability, security, and maintainability.
• Lead technical design decisions and mentor engineers across projects.
• Collaborate with product, design, and other engineers to deliver high‑quality solutions.
• Oversee design reviews, code reviews, and technical RFCs.
