Job summary

The Staff Software Engineer will drive the design and implementation of mission-critical systems across our platform, acting as a high-level individual contributor who guides architecture while staying hands-on to build scalable, high-performance software.

In this remote-US role, you will mentor engineers, lead design and code reviews, and collaborate with product, design, and other engineers to deliver robust solutions.

Qualifications

• Eight years or more of software engineering experience.
• Deep proficiency in backend or full-stack languages (e.g. Java, Go, Python, TypeScript).
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems, APIs, databases (SQL/NoSQL), and cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement core services, systems, and APIs with a focus on scalability, security, and maintainability.
• Lead design and code reviews; influence engineering standards and performance.
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineers to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to RFCs and technical docs.
• Resolve production issues to ensure reliability and uptime.
• Drive adoption of engineering best practices across teams.
