CVS Health Digital is seeking a Staff Software Development Engineer who will act as both Technical Lead and individual contributor to build the next‑generation platform that delivers use cases into products focused on helping people live healthier lives.

This role will design scalable solutions, participate in architecture discussions, and mentor junior developers while driving delivery excellence across cloud, microservices, and CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience delivering enterprise solutions in large-scale distributed environments.
• 5+ years of Java development experience.
• 5+ years with enterprise cloud initiatives and cloud computing technologies.
• 5+ years designing and developing modern microservices and APIs.
• 3+ years of CI/CD pipeline automation.
• 3+ years of Agile-based development.
• 2+ years of Agentic AI / Generative AI experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement efficient, scalable solutions meeting business requirements and quality standards.
• Contribute to solution design and architecture discussions with architects and senior engineers.
• Provide input on feasibility, performance, and scalability to ensure objectives are met.
• Participate in code reviews and enforce coding standards and best practices.
• Coordinate with team members to ensure alignment and inform decisions.
• Adopt best practices and new technologies to improve productivity and code quality.
• Share knowledge through code reviews, tech talks, and workshops to foster learning.
• Collaborate with other developers to implement complex features and deliver high-quality code.
• Mentor junior developers to grow their skills.
