Job summary

Broadcom Inc. in Promontory, CA, seeks a Staff Software Engineer for the ESXi OS Services team to design and deliver high-impact User Space OS services, container services, and Kubernetes platform capabilities.

You will contribute to enterprise virtualization and cloud-native workloads, implement OS techniques on x86, and collaborate with product management and cross-functional teams to ship robust, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in CS/EE or related field.
• 5+ years (BS) or 3+ years (MS) of relevant experience.
• Strong proficiency in C/C++ and Python; Golang a plus.
• Experience with Linux/Unix internals and OS/user-space concepts.
• Experience in developing and debugging core OS services or user-space apps.
• Familiarity with Docker/containerd and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement OS and container services for ESXi/Kubernetes.
• Develop scalable container runtimes and Kubernetes platform features.
• Collaborate with product, UI/UX, and cross-functional teams.
• Deliver high-quality code with focus on performance and reliability.
