Job summary

Broadcom is seeking a Staff-level Software Engineer to lead design and delivery of User Space OS services and Kubernetes platform features for ESXi. The role focuses on scalable container services, cross-cluster workloads, and high-availability platform infrastructure.

Responsibilities include collaborating with product management and cross-functional teams to translate requirements into robust software in a remote-eligible role based in Promontory, CA.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or similar fields.
• 5+ years of relevant experience for BS, 3+ for MS.
• Strong proficiency in C/C++ and Python; Golang is a plus.
• Deep understanding of Linux/Unix internals, especially user space concepts.
• Experience in developing, debugging, and optimizing core OS services or user space apps.
• Familiarity with cloud-native tech, containers, and Kubernetes architecture.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement OS and container services for scalable platforms.
• Architect and develop Kubernetes platform capabilities tightly integrated with ESXi and vSphere.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
