Job summary

Rippling is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to anchor our Money Movement & Treasury architecture hub in Seattle. You will own design and implementation of deterministic, config-driven ledger architecture that ensures 100% ledger coverage for tax and payments liabilities.

You will redesign general ledger and reconciliation systems, unify primitives across various historically disjointed payment systems to create a single, queryable lifecycle for every dollar moving through our platform, and

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Design large-scale, fault-tolerant systems from scratch.
• Ability to work in ambiguity and own problems.
• Domain knowledge in treasury and money movement is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Architect the Foundation: redesign GL and reconciliation to be deterministic.
• Unify abstraction across payment systems to enable a single ledger lifecycle.
• Build a reconciliation replay and testing framework with the data team.
• Provide technical leadership to a Seattle-based pod of senior engineers.
• Collaborate with Payments Data, Tax and Accounting teams on regulatory reporting.
