Rippling is hiring a Staff Software Engineer to anchor the Money Movement & Treasury architecture hub in Seattle. You will own the design and implementation of a deterministic, config-driven ledger system and ensure 100% ledger coverage for tax and payment liabilities.

You will lead a pod of senior engineers, build a reconciliation replay and testing framework, and work cross-functionally with Payments Data, Tax, and Accounting teams to replace legacy Snowflake-side logic.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Architecture experience designing large-scale, fault-tolerant systems.
• Ability to operate with high initiative in ambiguous environments.
• Domain familiarity with treasury and money movement is a plus.
• Proficiency in modern backend languages and data processing frameworks.

Responsabilités

• Architect the Foundation: redesign General Ledger and reconciliation systems for determinism.
• Unify abstraction across payment systems to enable a single lifecycle per dollar.
• Build the engine: develop reconciliation replay and testing framework with Payments Data team.
• Provide technical leadership by anchoring the Seattle site and mentoring engineers.
• Collaborate with Payments Data, Tax, and Accounting teams to meet regulatory requirements and replace legacy logic.
