Job summary

The muralgroup is seeking a staff engineer in the San Francisco Bay Area to own the imaging pipeline that underpins every clinical result. You will shape ingestion, registration, segmentation and analysis across cloud-based workflows.

You will develop new targeting algorithms and bring ML into production, running the pipeline on AWS with containers and IaC. Mentoring engineers and following medical device design controls are key.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering with imaging or scientific data focus.
• Expert Python and Git proficiency.
• MRI data handling (DICOM, NIfTI) and QC.
• Experience with ITK/ANTs/FSL or FreeSurfer.
• Strong statistical and ML know-how brought to production.
• MS in CS/engineering/physics/math, or equivalent experience.
• Nice to have: AWS Batch and GPUs; IEC 62304; deep learning for medical imaging.

A venture-backed, commercial-stage medical device company is hiring a staff engineer to own the imaging pipeline behind every clinical result it delivers.

• Run and scale the pipeline on AWS with containers and infrastructure as code
• Cut runtime and extend the pipeline to new clinical uses
• Work within medical device design controls, and mentor engineers

What you bring

• 5+ years of software engineering, much of it on imaging or scientific data
• Expert Python and Git
• MRI data (DICOM, NIfTI) and quality control
• Neuroimaging toolkits such as ITK, ANTs, FSL or FreeSurfer
• Strong scientific computing and statistics, and ML taken to production
• MS in CS, engineering, physics or math, or equivalent experience
• Nice to have: AWS Batch and GPUs; IEC 62304; deep learning for medical imaging
