Job summary

Mural Group in the San Francisco Bay Area is hiring a staff engineer to own the real-time tracking and automation software in its clinical system. The concept is proven; this role takes it to release.

You will build a low-latency C++ runtime with GPU acceleration, integrate robotic hardware, and design safety features while mentoring a team of engineers.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of expert modern C++ in production real-time systems.
• Strong Python proficiency.
• Experience in 3D vision, sensor fusion, robotics or ML for perception.
• Calibration, registration and coordinate frames knowledge.
• Experience owning a subsystem through release.

Responsibilities

• Own real-time tracking, localization and sensor fusion.
• Build a low-latency C++ runtime with GPU acceleration.
• Integrate robotic hardware and closed-loop automated positioning.
• Design safety behavior: interlocks, overrides, degraded modes.
