Job summary

Xtalks is seeking a software engineer to develop end-to-end medical imaging tools for precise implant and electrode planning. You will handle importing, managing, fusing, and visualizing 3D medical images and connect preoperative imaging with robotic and intraoperative tracking systems.

The role emphasizes practical linear algebra, 3D visualization, and deploying clinician-facing software with a focus on scalable infrastructure and robust data management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience coding in Python, Rust, or JavaScript.
• Experience manipulating and visualizing 3D objects; familiarity with medical imaging formats.
• Experience with container orchestration and infrastructure development is preferred.

Job description

Develop end-to-end medical imaging software and tools to plan precise implant and electrode placement using preoperative imaging, including importing, managing, fusing, and visualizing 3D medical images. Build clinician-facing applications and connect preoperative imaging with the surgical robot and intraoperative patient and tool tracking hardware.

Requirements: Candidates should demonstrate exceptional engineering or computer science ability, a record of shipping impactful software, fundamental systems understanding, practical linear algebra proficiency, and experience coding in Python, Rust, or JavaScript. A technical bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience is required, along with experience manipulating and visualizing 3D objects; medical imaging formats, protected health information, container orchestration, and infrastructure development are preferred.
