Job summary

Partly is hiring for Staff and Senior Staff Engineers to lead technically on building our AI-driven repair platform. You’ll own the most critical systems end to end, set architecture direction across teams, and mentor engineers to raise the bar.

You’ll work across the stack from backend services to data platforms, shaping a system used by thousands of businesses in a multi-language, multinational domain. We care about durable design, scalable performance, and clear technical narratives.

Qualifications

• 6+ years building and operating complex production systems.
• Track record owning systems across team boundaries.
• Strong fundamentals: data structures, concurrency, distributed systems, API design.
• Excellent written communication; design docs are the work.

Responsibilities

• Own mission-critical systems end to end; design, build, operate.
• Set technical direction beyond your team and across services.
• Direct the work; break problems into scope and review designs.
• Solve problems at scale across millions of parts, configurations, and languages.
• Build the platform Interpreter runs on for thousands of businesses.
• Work across the stack; follow problems wherever they lead.
• Raise the engineering bar through design reviews and mentoring.
• Become one of the few people who deeply understands this domain.
