Job summary

ServiceNow is seeking an experienced software engineer to join the Software Asset Management (SAM) team in Santa Clara, focusing on scalable, high-quality code and performance optimization. You will own end-to-end development, collaborate with product managers, architects, and QE, and contribute to new features while mentoring teammates.

Candidates should have 8+ years in software engineering, strong knowledge of data platforms, and experience with AI-enabled workflows and distributed pipelines.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering with a track record of delivering high-quality products.
• Troubleshoot complex systems and optimize performance across the stack.
• Software quality principles including reliability, observability, and production readiness.
• Experience with AI-powered tools or workflows, including validation of datasets, model predictions, and inference consistency.
• Experience building and operating distributed data pipelines (e.g., Apache Spark, Kafka, Flink, Airflow, or dbt).
• Experience with modern front-end frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue.
• Experience creating dashboards and analytic reports with Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.

Responsibilities

• Own the software development lifecycle from design to delivery.
• Build high-quality, scalable code by enforcing best practices around architecture and processes.
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, and QE to define feature sets.
• Work with architects to shape product design and with QE to enhance quality and performance.
• Contribute to new product features and enhance existing offerings.
• Mentor peers and promote knowledge-sharing across the team.
• Own code from design through implementation, test automation, and delivery.
