Job summary

DAT is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to be the first engineer in a new Integrations function focused on platform and developer experience for third-party integrators. You will report to the Engineering Manager of Integrations and work with Product, Customer Support, and Engineering to shape a scalable, API-driven integration strategy.

You will design and deliver SDKs and tooling in TypeScript, write OpenAPI specs and examples, and build observability into integration services.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
8+ years of software development experience with TypeScript and Node.js.
Experience designing and operating APIs consumed by external developers or partners.
Track record of taking ideas from prototype to production.
History of leading complex, multi-team technical initiatives.

Responsibilities

Build proofs of concept for developer experience and platform capabilities and take proven ideas to production.
Design, build, and maintain SDKs and developer tooling in TypeScript.
Create OpenAPI specs and examples for integrators using AI coding assistants.
Design API logging and monitoring for production visibility.
Shape lightweight governance for customer-facing APIs.
Mentor engineers and participate in design/code reviews.
Translate business needs into technical specifications.
